The beginning of the Paul
Bunyan Trail is Segment 1. From mile markers 0.0 to 14.3 covering areas from Brainerd,
Baxter, Merrifield, to just north of Nisswa. |
Starting on mile marker 14.8
at Nisswa covering the areas of Pequot Lakes, Jenkins, to just north of the Pine River
city limits. |
Segment 3 starts at mile
marker 30.0 covering the twelve miles to Hackensack with Backus in-between at mile marker
38.8. |

From Hackensack to four miles
north of Walker, segment 4 is the halfway point on the Paul Bunyan Trail. Segment 4 starts
at mile marker 46.4 and runs through 54.0. |
Starting at mile marker 63.2
and ending at 79.4, segment 5 covers areas from Walker, Benedict, and Laporte. With many
bridges and scenic areas located along this segment of the trail it's hard to pass up. |
With many small scenic towns
located along this portion of the trail you just might look for a real estate agent while
your in town. Starting from Guthrie at mile marker 82.4 and ending at mile 96 with Nary
just in-between at mile 87.6. |
