 Since
Pequot Lakes MN is situated within the hear of this major seasonal home and resort area,
its business district belies the community's modest 1990 population of 843. As a major
entry to nearby resorts (notably Breezy Point) and the many surrounding lakeshore homes,
virtually every tourist oriented commercial service can be found here.The Paul Bunyan
State Trail plan proposes that a major trail wayside (which would include a parking lot,
restrooms, picnic area, landscaping and an information board) be located here.
